Andrew Dansby is a senior writer for the Houston Chronicle, where he has covered arts, entertainment and culture for 20 years. He spent five years writing about music for Rolling Stone, following five years in book publishing, where he worked on projects including George R.R. Martin’s "A Game of Thrones. Other work includes a misspent year in the film industry working on a trio of movies you’ve never seen. He contributed to the books “The Rolling Stone Album Guide” and “Mission Moon: How 50 Years of Space Exploration Defined Houston.”
Dansby has written for MOJO, American Songwriter, Texas Music, Playboy and other publications. His oral history of the film “Rushmore” was a first-place entry in the Best of the West journalism awards.
