The Houston Writers Guild Authorpalooza Conference kickoff opening at Brazos Bookstore involves a talk by Deborah D.E.E.P. Mouton, Houston Poet Laureate.  After a presentation from Deborah there will be a book launch for the Journey Into Time anthology that is sponsored by both HWG and WiVLA.  Prizes will be awarded to the first, second and third place writers and then the audience will enjoy hearing some of the stories from the anthology.

7:00 – 7:15 pm Arrival and Mingle

7:15 – 7:45 Deborah D.E.E.P Mouton, Houston Poet Laureate, will lead us in an activity for performance poetry

7:15 - 9:00 pm Book Launch Party! Will include discussion of how these types of opportunities can help an author, Presentation of Winners and Awards, and Readings from Winners
