Roxanna Asgarian is a Texas-based journalist who writes about courts and the law for The Texas Tribune. Her work has appeared in The Washington Post, New York, and Texas Monthly, among other publications. She received the 2022 J. Anthony Lukas Work-in-Progress Award for We Were Once a Family.

Mimi Swartz is the author of Power Failure: The Inside Story of the Collapse of Enron (with Sherron Watkins), and Ticker: the Quest to Create an Artificial Heart. The winner of two National Magazine Awards, she is currently the senior executive editor of Texas Monthly. Swartz grew up in San Antonio and now lives with her family in Houston.
